The Blessing of the Backpacks

Blessing of the Backpacks during the Message for All Ages. We said a prayer of blessing on everyone's school year: students of all ages, teachers, and staff members. Several donors contributed backpacks and other school supplies for people who needed them.

Creating the Beloved Community

Building Community, Building Disciples

Our building might appear a little rough on the edges at times.  More importantly we love what happens inside, when people meet, groups gather and when caring occurs.
Still, we love our old building and the history it contains. People have gathered to worship and serve God right here in the heart of Sanford for over 200 years. You can feel the presence of those saints from the past in our softly worn pews and in the sunlight that streams in the sanctuary windows on a Sunday morning. They inspire who we are today as we open our doors to the lost and the lonely, to those who hunger and thirst and to the many who want to work together bringing God's hope to our community and to the world.

Who are we?

We are old and young.  Some of us live just down the street and others come from a ways away.

Some drop in when time allows and others come every week.

We know whoever you are and whenever you are able to come...you need to be here

and that God will always be in our midst.

And....we are Cub Scouts on Monday nights, Boy Scouts on Tuesday nights, on Wednesday the Center for Grieving Children brings families from all of southern Maine and New Hampshire for support and care from a dedicated team of trained volunteers.
